Airsoft is a fast growing sport that is much more focused on realism in combat than how much you can shoot. Airsoft players are dedicated to their tactical prowess, and prefer to play with players who are of the same mindset. Because the airsoft bb doesn't break on impact and leave a mark (on your clothes anyways, wink), airsoft is a game of trust. If you are struck, it is your responsibility to play by the rules and call yourself out accordingly. For this reason, airsoft players generally play with other players from within their community, where trust goes a long way, and the fun is in the strategy.
The Airsoft gun takes realism to a whole new level. Because the bb itself is tiny (6mm), the guns are far more realistic than any paintball gun on the market today. Airsoft guns mimic all the real firearms used in combat today, from the M4, to MP7s, AK-47s, Handguns, Revolvers and more! The realism is outstanding and the feel is simply fantastic. Because of the realism, most Airsoft guns are required by law to have an orange painted tip, to identify them as airsoft. Otherwise, an officer may mistake you're airsoft gun for a real assault rifle, and that would be bad!
